I know this may seem basic but any suggestions on how to log corn on the cob when I search it in the data base I see such a wide variety of calories amounts I don't know how to pick one that's close I'm currently logging one of the highest ones but I feel as if I'm way overestimating.

This is one of those cases where you just have to give your best guesstimate. MFP's database can help with that.0

Sometimes I will just google the nutritional value of something, like a banana, and copy the nutrient facts. You can probably do that with corn, I assume.0

Weigh your corn (totally) eat the corn..weigh what is left and subtract.0 -
I would look it up on the USDA website. That site often lists foods in different forms (cooked, raw, ground, etc.)0

I'd look for it in the USDA database and then find or make an entry for it in MFP.0

I weigh it cob and all, then eat, weigh the cob, subtract and log that as Usda Br 11168 - Corn, Fresh, Boiled, Drained. Don't forget to log the butter too. Enjoy!0

That is a great idea!
I also find that "eyeballing" what I eat, imagining what it would fill up in a measuring cup, helps me to learn how to estimate properly. You can take a guess, then cut all the corn off the cob and put into a measuring cup. Eventually ,you will get the eyeballing thing down.0 -
