MFP is always the best spot to ask this question...
I've had this cartilage piercing since 2013. I have not removed the earrings since then, but the one on my left fell out.
I've got a keloid (sp?) scar around the opening, and when I went to put in the usual "curved bar with the little ball fastners" it wouldn't go. My mom was able to just get a regular straight earring into it, but not without a little bleeding and some inflammation.
I'm going to see a piercer this weekend, if I can get someone to watch my son, but what would you do in the mean time. Is there any thing I can do to keep it open?

Always? Has it been asked before? Have I missed that ?
I guess I was using always as in random questions not related to fitness and it would probably be best in a piercing fanatic group, but my work blocks everything but MFP and I must have this questioned answered now instead of getting productive work done. The usual.

Keep it clean, try cooling it to help with swelling and it will probably be ok to change in a few days but best to go back to your piercer if it's still angry0
