You look fantastic!! You prove that we can look hot at any age if we put the work in. I am also doing stronglifts and after 6 months I can see the results. My weight is the same but my body is smaller and tighter. I'm 55 and can still wear bikinis without anyone running away screaming lol.
Th'ank you! I feel like I'm twenty something instead of 57. I don't even weigh myself anymore because I know that I am getting tighter and stronger. I wish I could make every lady do 6 months of strong lifts just to show them that they will have remarkable results! Have you posted your pics on here yet?0 -
I posted this in another photo-only success story thread but meant to post here.
A friend at work found a photo of me before I started losing weight. Then we took a picture for comparison. That's 70 pounds in just over a year.
You know in your head that you look different but even I was shocked at just HOW different!0 -

Left was 6/15 155, Right was 2/14 194. I have lost 5 more lbs since the left pic was taken. Almost to goal!

August 2014 on the left and August 2015 on the Right. I didn't clean up my lifestyle until January 2015, I'm even more excited to see my progress come January 20160 -
You are all so inspiring... I can't wait until it's my turn to post a before and after...I just started ...I am only two days in on my journey to a healthier lifestyle which would include me losing 50lbs0

I am 5'4" tall I was a size 18 (US) in the "before" and size 12 in the "during." Although that dress is a size 12, I can wear a size 10 in pants. In fact, my size 10 shorts I bought at the beginning of summer are starting to get looser. ..
Keep up the great work, everyone! Remember, it's a marathon not a race. One high calorie meal doesn't mean you failed. It means you have an even better reason to make a better decision next time you eat.0 -
A lot of people here are really inspiring and I'm amazed at the transformations. It only pushes me to do more. I'm 5'3". My highest weight was 190 twelve years ago, but I lost the weight and managed to keep it off. I kept varying between 115 and 140 over the years. Whenever I would see the number 140 on the scale, I would get scared of gaining it all back and I'd lose weight. Now not only do I want to lose weight, but I want to gain muscle too. I don't want everything to be about the scale, but I don't want to have to keep gaining and losing anymore. I started up in June at 139 pounds and now in August I'm 128 pounds.

Thanks! Yeah, it's amazing what even a 10 pound loss can do on a short person. At 5'3", gaining or losing even five pounds tends to be noticeable. You will definitely see a change. Good luck!

It is so inspirational to see REAL people changing their lives!
I lost my weight with no fad diets, no trainers, no gym membership, just MFP, free YOUTUBE workout videos like 30 day shred, and dedication!
Looking to stay motivated now that I am maintaining!
Keep working!!! You will get there!

I'm 5'9 - heavy lifting changed my life.
You look fantastic! I'm 5'9 and my starting weight is roughly the same as yours (280lbs), I'm down to 267lbs and my goal is roughly 150lbs, I never thought about heavy lifting but I'm definitely going to give it a go!
