Counting calories

Hi guys
I just started this week and this app is new to me as well as the fitbit
So I may sound confusing sorry
So based on my goal, my total kjs I can take a day according to this app is 6000 . I recorded my workouts and calories burnt from my fitbit and it comes up that I have extra calories to eat yay
But is there a way to sync my fitbit to this app for calories or do I manually have to do it .
Ie yesterday I burnt 3161 calories but only the 1000 something came up from my work out .
Help I'm so confused . And I hope you guys are too now from this post

Agreed. There is no way mfp or any calculator would give you 6000 calories.. Unless I read that wrong
what's your height and weight, male/female? How much weight do you need to lose?

I'm going to guess that there is a mistyped number in the person's stats somewhere to get that many calories.0

Something is very wrong with these numbers0

Something isn't recorded correctly.0

If you click on APPS in the blue bar at the top of the screen, does that help? I used to have Map My Fitness and it connected to MPF. I am the LEAST techy person around, so if it isn't just done for me,it usually doesn't get done.
6000 calories is a lot! If you're not, like, a professional athlete, I'd double check that.0 -
Sorry people I need to edit . It's kjs not calories0

You did mention kjs but yes, you can sync your fitbit to the app which is so convenient. Simply log foods in MFP & fitbit will calculate your calories to be updated. Good luck!0 -
6000kj is around 1400calories for those not used to kilojoules0
