Bra help

Options
Hi
Quick question: is there any way to reduce band size on bras?. I know about bra extenders but what about the opposite. My cup size is fine but the band is now far too loose.

I would just sew it together a bit, myself. Put it on, pin it so that it feels right, take it off, sew it up.

When you next go to shop, try a Band size less and a cup up. Hope this helps .

I just had to do that to my bikinis. I found the best place to do it was at the side close to where the cups end. Not visible, and doesn't dig in.

    Cheers, h.

    Definitely try safety pinning.

In the future fit your band size to the first hook, it helps the band last longer.

Why not just buy a couple of cheap ones as you lose weight and when you get to your desired weight then you can buy good ones Walmart has some for $4-5 that's what I'm going to do

i have stuck to buying very cheap ones because i know they won't fit for very long...walmart, yup. they last just long enough. and if a hook comes loose or whatever, i sew it back together. the only time i throw them out is when the underwire pokes out, which hasn't honestly been much of a problem (small bust....boo)

Bras don't have a very long life. perhaps time to consider new.

This is something I am very passionate about. I should probably consider a career in lingerie for this reason. I would rather have a well-fitting bra than any other article of clothing. I could get by on a wardrobe of one pair of pants and five t-shirts as ling as I had a bra that fit well. It seriously makes THAT MUCH of a difference... in the way I look and feel... in my self-confidence... everything.

Hell no. I'm wearing the thing for 18 hours every day? I'm getting one that fits properly now, even if I have to buy a new one 6 months later.

When this happens to me I put it in donation then buy a new one. I've very picky on how my bras/lingerie look so if I altered my bra I'd have to cut off the hook and latch area, take off even amount of fabric, then sew it back on reinforced. However, since I generally only wear lacy stuff I don't see that bra lasting long even patched back up. I guess I could also take it off the armpit area, but the lines would annoy me.

Did the OP say that was her particular situation?

It seems like an odd response to the OP's question, otherwise.

Why is that? It's a common problem.
