Men, do you find partners with a nice career, and finances in the black more appealing than others who will require some financial help from you?

That's preferred by no means a dealbreaker

I'm not a man, but in my experience with men, I'm going to say it's been a big yes. For the record, I pay my bills and don't need anyone to help me do so.

No, some of the happiest people I know have nothing. It's nice but money can also bring a lot of problems.

As long as someone else isn't taking on the legal liability, what's the problem? You know what is the worst? People who nag other people about past mistakes. Maybe that indebted person had a fantastic job making mid six figures and had a major life event that destroyed them financially and they're slowly recovering. Ever think of that? Are they suddenly lesser humans? Money means nothing. Bah.

I hate naggers...I'm with you there.

IDK i've always been the main breadwinner in my relationships! I guess it depends on the dynamic. If they are going to raise the kids and tend to the home, or is the house going to be 50/50 and both work.

I prefer a woman who follows her dreams and does what makes her happy. Her salary has no impact on the relationship. Now, if you cook and clean when your home and your happy being a housewife then great. But don't be a lazy butt and sit on your hiney all day while I'm at work and I still have to come home and make dinner and clean the house. Because then, you're just a lazy roomate. We have a term for these kind of wives in the military. We call them Dependopotomus. And typically they are fat and lazy. And yes. I was once married to one. Lol

    Dependopotomus

 Fantastic. A few of my co-workers have that for a wife. Can't wait to pass that term on.

Not something I personally take into consideration. If somebody has money, all well and good.. If not, it doesn't bother me!

I work hard, I like to have nice things and I think that for me.. somebody having a good 'work ethic' is pretty important, I'm not about to give everything to someone and expect them to just sit down and enjoy my hard work without doing any work themselves.. It certainly doesn't bother me if they have an empty or low bank balance though!

We all hit hard times sometimes.. If you're looking for somebody purely on the basis of how much money they have, in my eyes you're setting youreself up for a miserable life!
