It taste almost like cheese. Savory and salty in flavor...like a cheese. I don't know how else to describe it. Mine comes in flakey form. I bought it as soon as I realize my diet was very low in B-12.
I like my popcorn with nutritional yeast and SMOKED paprika. OR Ranch powder and SMOKED paprika again. Something about the smokiness I guess.[/quote]
Do you find you need the full serving size? I forget what it is, but about 70 calories worth?0 -

I tried melting cheese on top too , but it doesn't really make its way to the ones at the bottom though ^^;

Oh, I've never seen salt and vinegar seasoning. I need to see if I can find it. Sounds awesome. I love salt and vinegar chips and a local burger place uses it on their hand cut fries.arditarose wrote: »Also, a question about nutritional yeast-what is it like? I almost picked it up at the store but I did see that a serving is about 70 calories and I wasn't really looking to add that many to my popcorn. If it is really amazing though, I'd be down. I just can't even imagine what it is like.

I like cocoa and cinnamon as it is

Lol copycat Doritos0 -
I like it plain too , but the plainness nature of popcorn probably allows it to take on amazing flavors0 -
Copycat doritos. Check. Getting the nutritional yeast for sure.0

I tried sweetly flavored popcorn the other day and had to throw it out. After years of enjoying the plainest popcorn, sweet flavoring feels extremely out of place. Like sweet pickles or salty preserves.
Then again I'm a bit weird about my flavors. I like them completely distinct - sweet should be sweet and savory should be savory. That's why I make my pasta sauce without sugar and don't exactly enjoy bbq sauce.
I'm with you on this one - pineapple on pizza is just WRONG!0 -
I put 1/4 cup of kernels into a paper bag, microwave it 2 minutes, pour a tablespoon of melted red palm oil on it, shake some celtic sea salt and nutritional yeast on it, close the bag, and shake it up. Delicious. It tastes like cheesy movie popcorn, and it's so much healthier for you!0

Nutritional yeast, and unsalted butter!0

!
I've started using a salt and pepper combination lately
It's tasty, but the pepper makes me sneeze ;;0 -
Slap yo Mama, the red container. And a little butter.0

Thanks for all the ideas. For me it is grated parmesan melted in the microwave. Low calorie favorite is tabasco and soy sauce, as I don't mind the wetness.0

Or I have my evoo in a bottle too.. with ranch seasoning (not the one with msg).0

I eat it rarely but when I do I like it with salt.
I have seen and heard its nice with some dark melted chocolate on it, for the people who enjoy chocolate.
ps. With `it` I mean popcorn0 -

I've tried melting chocolate on it , but it solidified after a while (I don't really like chocolate sauce though )
By 'it' I mean popcorn as well!
