We use myers-briggs like every day. It drives my husband crazy. I've always tested as an ENF... (look, a bird!)... P... (the visionary/the champion)
But my E/I has always been borderline. I may be an I these days. My T/F are also pretty close. N and P are off the charts.
How fun. I'm interested in how it affects our weight loss choices, techniques, and success. In my experience, I'm an emotional eater, I dislike measuring/tracking and planning my meals and workouts (we free-spirits like to keep our options open). I love going out to eat and deciding what to eat on a whim. These are all things I'm working on. I've made significant progress making peace with tracking and measuring.
On the positive side, I love trying new food; I'll try [almost anything] anything once. This makes it a little easier to "learn to like" healthy vegetables and things.
Oddly enough, I'm not very ENFP at the gym. I want to get in and out quickly and prefer my workouts to be efficient so I can get home to my family. I love running outside more than anything and I lift heavy because it gets the job done. I do NOT like to exercise in a group or with a buddy... I think I exhaust the limits of my "E" at work.0 -

That's the ideal, they say!

I'm actually certified to deliver and interpret the results (I'm a Human Resources dude). The MBPT is one of the most statistically valid instruments of its kind. It doesn't reflect ability, instead our true preferences when we are what they call our "shoes off" selves.
I'm an ISTJ (opposite from the OP on all 4 scales except the first). Completely consistent with how I approach my H&F goals, logically, detail oriented, decisions based on data.
Interesting post @HannaSusi , well done! I'll be curious to see if anyone takes you up on it?
I think I'd do well with a trainer who was an ISTJ. My favorite boss was an ESTJ. We affectionately argued a lot but he made sure my big ideas got done.0 -
ESTJ...the same as when I took this in grad school 8 years ago. At least I am constant0

INTJ. I really dig all these nifty graphs and pie charts and people who know what they're talking about.0

What the hell is going on here ?0

LOGICIAN (INTP-T)
Don't think it is right though I am the least logical person I know0 -
It says..The INTP personality type is fairly rare, making up only three percent of the population, which is definitely a good thing for them, as there's nothing they'd be more unhappy about than being "common". INTPs pride themselves on their inventiveness and creativity, their unique perspective and vigorous intellect. Usually known as the philosopher, the architect, or the dreamy professor, INTPs have been responsible for many scientific discoveries throughout history.0

Yep, my husband's an INTJ... Everything's fine as long as there are enough Excel charts, blueprints and professionally adequate people around If not, he just gets frustrated with "those damn idiots".
Board games and strategy games are a big deal for him, and instead of pointless romantical gestures like bringing flowers he brings me an arm long chunk of beef Because that's a lot more useful than flowers and we can all enjoy it, for dinner, which is effective.
He's so lucky to have me... XD

“The Executive” (ESTJ-T)
Strength of individual traits: Extraverted: 16%, Observant: 69%, Thinking: 65%, Judging: 81%, Turbulent: 36%.
I think this is accurate at a core level, but a lot of things are off, probably because I have OCD which effects decisions , reliability, and focuses a lot of my attention inward at myself. I also feel like something changed in me sometime and I am willing to cross a lot of lines most people won't. Those lines of what is acceptable behaviour in a civilized society.
My training, diet, and supplementation routine is pretty well planned out and dedication and motivation are automatic. It doesn't even feel like a choice, more like a personality trait. I am willing to push the limit and do whatever I feel I have to do to progress in my physique pursuits. I think the only thing that compromises this drive is the OCD. It is helpful in some aspects of drive and determination though.0 -
infp right here!!0

I got Adventurer (ISFP-A)
Most of it is pretty close, I think. Except for the artistic part. I am probably the least artistically creative person I know.0 -
This was my results for this test ENFP-T.
I am an Idealist in the Keisery personality test, so I feel like they are pretty similar results.0 -

That's definitely INTJ love. I don't buy trinkets or things of that nature (unless specifically requested) for people I care about, I help them fix something or get them something that makes their life easier. I even *gasp* listen to them talk about their feelings to let them sort things out on their own.
But yeah. I'm particularly a fan of the professionals and people with extensive experience on the forums, especially the no-nonsense approach that people usually interpret as "mean". The math and the graphs have made my weight loss less complicated and easier to predict, adjust, correct, streamline.0
