Is losing 10 pounds in three weeks healthy? Will people notice?

I wanted to know if it was possible and if it would also stay off long term. And how? The thing is though is that I'm already "skinny" if you look at with my clothes on, but clothes off I've got belly fat, back fat, and a little bit of a double chin which I all think is about 10 pounds to lose. I want people to notice though, will it make me have a smaller frame? I'm 5'2". Thanks!

If you are all ready thin, you will not lose 10lbs in 3 weeks.

10 pounds of water weight maybe, which will come back on as soon as you eat normal again.

Also likely unnoticeable, even to yourself.

Imagine 10pounds of peanut butter smeared all over your body. It's not going to make a terribly thick layer is it?

You seem to have the exact opposite problem as this person.

Going by your photos if you lose 10lb you'd be underweight. Why is it you want to impress by having people notice you have loss weight when there is no need to? Focus instead on body recomp....

10lbs in three weeks is achievable but it depends on a few factors (current weight, plan you are following, exercise routine). My advice to you is forget this 10lb target - its not necessary to set yourself such strict targets. By all means follow your plan and work out - but you may lose less and then you'll be disappointed when really you should be delighted with any loss. Good luck and do this healthily :)

If you are already at a healthy weight then losing 10 lbs in 3 weeks may be very difficult. 3 lbs a week is an aggressive goal for even very overweight people. Your goal should be more like .5 lbs a week if you want healthy, long term loss.
Your appearance might not change for the better if you are doing extreme unhealthy things.

If you're morbidly obese, yeah. But at an already healthy weight, you'll lose a lot of muscle, which will enhance "skinny fat". I agree with those who said body recomp is a better idea.
