I'm shooting for just below the amount of potatoes the average American eats in a year (almost typed "the amount of potatoes the average giraffe eats in a year"... woops). I'm just above a 5000 BTU AC.

An average human leg + an average human brain. Who knew I had extras of those!

The average amount of pizza an American eats in a year + an automobile tire.

Or just shy of an elephant's heart .... or 6 newborns.

26 pounds - an average 2 year old plus a guinea pig.

Still have a 5 gallon bottle of water to lose.

I like this list. It's an interesting comparison.

    And also ...

Last weekend, my husband and I bought two 10 kg plates for our home gym. I volunteered to carry one around the store while we were doing the last bit of shopping, and it grew quite heavy by the time we got to the checkout and then out to the car.

And then my husband said to me, "You realise, you were carrying around the weight of both of these."

It's really hard for me to imagine ... I was struggling a bit walking around the store carrying one, never mind two. No wonder I struggled walking up hills and stairs and things. Yeah, I know it's a bit different carrying it in a layer all over your body to carrying a weight in your hands, but still ... I am finding a lot of things a lot easier to do now. :)

I've lost a mid-sized microwave, and with another microwave to go (being pretty much smack in the middle of my weight loss). That doesn't seem much fun :( microwaves are useful.

When I'm done, I'll have lost the equivalent of an Irish setter. I might celebrate by getting a dog :)

Between a gold brick and the world's largest ball of tape (my weight lost fluctuates between 75-80 pounds depending on water weight)... or I could have chopped off both of my legs and lost the same amount of weight.
