Looking for a particular study regarding ultra low calorie intake

First off, please don't crucify me. I am not trying to promote this kind of unsustainable, unhealthy diet or any particular attitudes towards food, I'm just trying to find something that I read a few years ago and now can't muster the google-fu to find.

It was an experiment done wherein a morbidly obese patient stopped eating regular food entirely, and took in a small amount of a yeast and supplement mixture to sustain body function. It was monitored by physicians, not just done by a crazy obese man.

I believe he went near a year on this ultra low calorie intake, living almost entirely off his bodily reserves for energy and the supplements and yeast for the other factors required to maintain normal body function.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can point to an article, paper, or review of it, I'd appreciate it.
