Insanity workout for 3 weeks but no drop in body fat %

Good Day All!

I'm M3khLem and I've been a member on MFP for awhile now.

My issue is the following ::
I started working out starting in mid May and since then I've dropped 8% body fat (currently at 18.8) and I've lost 20+ pounds.

But for the last 3 weeks I've hit a hard plateau and I can't get out of it. I've been doing INSANITY and yes, my athleticism has gone up as well as cardio resistance . But even while following the mealplan I can't seem to lose the last 8% .

Any suggestions? Is there something I'm missing? ?

By just looking at your diary I am seeing a lot of 'cups', 'tbsp', 'X serving'... these are pretty generic measurements and aren't accurate. I guarantee you're eating more than you think you are, by inaccurately logging.

Use an electric food scale and weigh every single food item that passes your lips.

I do have a scale and I've been using the Barcode scanner on the diary to log what it is I've been eating.
Some measurements yes, I will admit are like you sat just a generic reference but I have been trying to really watch what and how much of.

Definitely start using your food scale for everything.

Even if you use a bar code, the item may say "pre-packaged 53g", but on the off chance the item will weigh more or less.

I will keep that in mind! ☺
Today is the off day for week 3 of insanity so I will definetly be keeping a closer eye.

Why is it so hard to go from 18 to 10% body fat?

It's hard if you don't accurately log and weigh your food... i.e. what you're doing.

It'd be far easier if you used a scale lol.

    Sorry to sound repetitive...

Yes. 3 weeks and I've been doing my best to keep up with the mealplan. And after doing the week 2 fit test my scores have gone up double from what my initial fit test shows.

Looking at your diary (do you only eat 2 meals per day?) I'd say ease further off the sugar and up the protein.

And how will that help with weight loss?

He's not logging accurately... so what you just told him probably isn't going to help.

    Wrong part of the Trinity.

    Close, though.

I think your expectations are too high. Dropping bf% means losing day and not muscle. Whenever you lose weight you will generally lose both. The fact that you lost 8% is amazing. How do you measure your bf% ? Is it am accurate method?
What about weight loss? Are you losng weight at all the past 3 weeks?

Dropping bf% means increasing the muscle to fat ratio. That can be accomplished by losing or gaining weight.

I use an EAT SMART OZERI Biometric Scale.

And it has been super accurate.
I've been doing HIIT workouts as well as other body weight strength training programs from darebee.com I've also followed the Ab Diet and the 16 Hour Fast Mealplans.

That being said I also work as a chef so in response to the earlier comments about noteasurimg properly I don't think that's the issue considering that a big part of en planning and figuring out food cost is measuring every ingredient for every recipe.
That's why my easements are in 1/2 tsps and the like.

So complicated. Why don't you lift heavy, eat at a moderate deficit, weigh your food. Drop body fat, save muscle. Boom.
