New to MFP - looking for a positive boost

I'm new to MFP. I like the fact that it holds me accountable for a calorie count. I am slowly changing the way I am eating. I finished a vocational college 4 yrs ago and the pounds have just crept on. My ideal goal weight is 140lbs, I'm sitting at about 162 right now. It would be nice to get some words of encouragement from peers living with the same struggles.
