Counting calories for rice

Can teach me how to count the calories for rice? The main problem is not getting to know the calories for rice but what kind of rice should i use to track? There are so many types, how should I know which one is the one I am eating?

    How do you get your rice? If it comes in packets it'll probably have the calorie information on the packet.

    It depends on how you buy your rice. For instance, I buy the large bags of rice. They still have nutrition information on them and I just weigh it and track it that way. The same thing should be true for smaller bags or boxes. How are you buying your rice?

    If you are eating out just ask the serving person what type it is but the amount you eat will have to be a guestimate.

    How do you not know what are you are eating, look on the bag, is it a long, medium or short grain rice? What liquid are you using to cook it? A rich stock will add more calories than water. These are all variables that go into the calories of the rice

    Scan the bar code off the package in which the rice came. That will tell you the type of rice and it's nutritional values. Then weigh and adjust your serving size to the serving size noted on the package. i.e. if the package's serving size is one cup and your are serving yourself a half cup, that's a half serving.

    Then just choose whatever type of rice you think it is in the database, and weigh it out and add that. Can you not find out what type of rice it is?

    Even if it doesn't say what sort of rice it is, it has the nutritional info on it. That's all you need.
