Recipe Builder vs. Manual entry

Do you use the recipe builder or just enter your food in manually? I have been doing both. I have found when I import a recipe from a website, MFP always calculates the calorie count higher, sometimes 100-200 calories more! I have all of the numbers/servings correct. Then when I manually enter the same recipe, under dinner let's say, then the calorie count is lower or closer to accurate. Should I just manually enter everything in? I like the idea of the recipes because then I just have to enter it in one time and then use it again. But not if the calories are going to be way off.

When you import, you still have to verify each ingredient. Differing brands have differing calories and/or serving sizes. So, you pretty much have to manually input even imported entries.0

What Kami said. When I import recipes there's almost always 1 or 2 things that are matched incorrectly, even when brands and quantities are specified.0

Ditto what has already been said above. I usually just enter everything manually. The bar code scanning feature comes in handy there though which sometimes makes entering a recipe manually a little less tedious.0
