If the package of raw meat says 4 oz is 130 calories is that before or after cooking? i was not sure so if i measured it cooked, i do a 3 oz portion as a serving for 130 calories. if i measure it raw i do 4 oz a serving for 130 calories!!

Measure/weigh meat raw.0

that is before cooking.
So you weigh it raw and log 130 calories for 4oz.0 -
Just curious...why do we weigh raw....I've been putting in amounts I'm hoping is cooked cause that's when I tend to weigh it0

the label almost always is for raw meat! .
now, I do cook for a lot of people or my wonderful mother do my meal/dinner for me very often, I just with time and a little research have found entry very accurate for cooked food, it works too.0 -
