Hi. I'm going to come out and say this- occasionally I struggle with binging and purging. I am obsessed with loosing weight and if I eat something I'm very guilty about, I have no hesitation throwing it back up. Sometimes when I'm home alone and feel bored I'll eat a *kitten* ton of food and throw it all up.
I don't think there's anything you guys can do.
Just wanted to get it off my chest.

Same here. Although I don't throw up. I just feel guilty and depressed about eating. One day I'll reach my goal weight and be happy. (I have reached my goal weight in the past) but unfortunately gained all the weight back.. Because I like food0

I binge eat to comfort myself. It's an emotional connection. I've discovered that trying to find other ways to take care of myself is the key. Exercise, eating well-- anything to get out of this nasty cycle I've created.
Our problem is an emotional one. It's important to remember to forgive ourselves when we have a bad day.

You shouldn't really be on here until your well on your way to recovery. Does your Dr and dentist know? Are you getting any help?0

You are in a difficult place Victoria, it is so much more than self-image, it is actually a neuropathway developed, a habit that has formed. There are professionals that can help. There is also many CD's on managing emotions and food.0
