Hi there! I'm new on here and just thought I'd say hi. I began my weight loss journey 9 weeks ago. At first I followed the New Atkins diet and lost 12 kilos/26.4 pounds.
I've now decided to follow a more ordinary healthy diet and start exercising to lose the rest. :)

    Thanks! I'm really motivated!

You actually have to eat quite a lot of veg per day. It's not a meat only diet. And you can't have unlimited meat, cheese etc.
It's not a bad diet and I'm sure it works for a lot of people but for me it was too restrictive. I like having variety and being able to eat anything I want just in moderation. It's going to take a long time to lose my weight and being on atkins that long would have been too tough for me.

Welcome and congratulations on your loss :)

The good thing about eating at a straightforward calorie deficit is you can pretty much eat whatever you like - moderation is key. I think you'll probably enjoy this as opposed to the New Atkins. Nothing is off limits :)

    Best of luck.

It's going well so far. Lots of variety. Can't describe how awesome my first yogisip tasted! And I never used to like yoghurt before!
