I did steps yesterday. I feel like a cripple. My calves hurt like I never would have believed. I'm praying this doesn't last more than a couple of days. I want to go for a run on Monday!0
-
Today for sure!! Today I did day 3 of the 30 day shred.. today I am having a hard time walking. I heard it is normal and by the fourth or fifth day it will go away.. just praying this happens!0

After my first half marathon, I literally thought I was going to die. My feet were swollen, my knees were screaming, and my back hurt. To top it off, my pants actually rubbed apart between my thighs halfway through, so I was bleeding there too. But I went home, took an ice bath, popped all my blisters, and slept for close to 15 hours. I hurt for about three days, but I've never hurt that bad since, even on subsequent halfsies. Hurt feels so good!0

i had shin splints a few weeks back. Honestly, those hurt the most I have ever hurt since begining exercise. I walked around the house like a little old wobbly man every morning for 2 weeks!!!0

Week before last... a MONSTER 60min leg workout including weighted squats and lunges as well as dead lifts... followed by 60min (10 miles) on the stepmill. I was miserable for several days. By the 3rd day after it got a little better...0

IT (IntensiveTraining) sessions-otherwise known as 'beatings' in boot camp. These would go on for hours at a time some days, I kind of miss them.0
-
Well, I know this isn't what you're talking about.... but once I got a full frontal sunburn. Lobster red. Stomach, thighs, chest, neck. Everything. It sucked. Oh, and my calves were pretty much paralyzed after my first two days of the 30 Day Shred0
-
did any of you work out when you were that sore or did you wait to get better?0
-
A couple of years ago, I was a lot less fit than I am now and I tried to do 30 Day Shred. HOLY COW I thought I would die. I couldn't really do much of anything for about 3 days. I am thinking of picking it up again and trying it out, but after the comments on this thread, I may not. :sick:0

Did a workout that included 6 minutes of Jump lunges.
The next day I could hardly walk.
I still exercised, though. The pain lasted 3 days but subsided a bit each day. By the end of the week it was just mild discomfort.
I stretched out every day, too. The most helpful thing was going to a 90-minute yoga class. Even though none of the stretches were for the thighs, it helped so much.0 -
I did workout, and did my usual Zumba 5 days a week. I just modified everything. I would feel better moving around because when I just sat around in pain it hurt worse. When I stretched and worked out, I felt better....0

After novice rowing camp, 3 days rowing 3 times a day. And yes i exercised afterwards, but not by choice! Coaches made me.0
-
Killer 60 minute leg and ab workout at my gym this week. 60 minutes of supersets and cardio. I couldn't walk for 2 days afterward0
-
After being persuaded into trying a TRX class for the first time by my mom...it literally took forever to sit down, stand back up, walk, basically move the next day (which I spent at an amusement park the whole day)0
-
After first Insanity Plyo Cardio workout. My whole body hurt but I had to continue the next day and I did, but man, it was tough.0
-
a couple of years ago I carried my daughter (2yearsold?) through a bunch of caves, including one with over 200 steps up and down... the next day I could NOT step off the curb without tears. It was really bad just for 2 days, and the cure= walking!0

I have a good friend who is a personal trainer, and I recently visited her at her gym and took one of her circuit training classes. There was a TON of ab work (my weakest point), and then in the last circuit we did decline situps tossing a 6 pound medicine ball back and forth. My abs were the sorest I've ever had them for about 5 days. I kept working out, but MAN was it rough.0
-
After my first half marathon! The hills were brutal and I was recovering from tendonitis and those two just didn't mix well. Couldn't walk normally for about 3 days! I've trained and recovered smarter on all my other halfs!0
-
it was after my 5 k walk for cancer i did last yearboy did my calfs hurt
  :noway:0 -
Sore for two days after squats. Gave out in pain and plopped the last 4 inches down to the toilet seat and screamed out in pain while pushing the clutch in my car. Tried not to go out of second gear! Just putted around for a couple days.0
-
before I got pregnant with my son, I was in a bootcamp, and my awesome trainer made us do sumo lunges/side steps..... I couldn't sit down for days, and it physically hurt my legs to sit on the toilet.... probably lasted about 3 days0
-
The first time I ever worked with a trainer, I did lots of arm exercises. The next day my arms hurt so bad, and I couldn't raise them or straighten them for days. My uncle told me the name of the tendons that I had hurt, and said I should steer clear of working my arms for about 6 weeks. I had to take about four days off of working my arms but I got back to it and healed up just fine.0
-
After a 30 minute intensive ab class. Abs are my weak point and it hurt to get up from a chair or the bed or laugh for four days.0
-
I've been so sore that I couldn't walk down the stairs---or it was VERY difficult. The soreness lasted about 4 days but it subsided by day 2. Now I take BCAAs when I know I will workout hard. This has really helped minimize the soreness.0
-
I would have to say my worst was after I did the 3 day breast cancer walk. After sitting in the car ride home everything froze up and I my hubby had to carry me up the stairs after finding me on all fours trying to crawl up them because my knees, hips, and feet hurt so bad. I didn't work through that one. My next worse would be the second time I ever went snowboarding. Every muscle in my body hurt. It hurt to breath. It hurt to just exist. I didn't work through that pain either. Normal workout extreme soreness I have worked through but those two was all about rest, water, ice and ibuprofen!0

A few weeks ago after my first Kettle Bell work out. Ouch, Hurt to sit down for 2-3 days0
-
After walking ..very fast pace for 60mins, boxing then squads ..damn hurt...trying to go to the loo was the worst.. :blushing:
love the hurt..it knows i have down a workout that has done my body good!.. the best way for it to go away is todo it all again..that way ur body gets used to it quicker..only lasts a few days..0 -
About a month ago after my 1st lower body strength training routine (part of the 12 week body transformation plan on bodybuilding.com). I literally had to waddle and hop down my stairs and had to hover to pee (tmi). I considered myself to already be in great shape as it was only a month ago... but it totally kicked my butt and it was the sorest I have ever been in my life.
Before that, the worst time was the first time I did Day 1 of the 30DS when I first started MFP at around 190lbs. I was totally out of shape and I was sore for a few days after that one, almost as bad as the time a month ago.0 -
The day after my first day of 30 day shred I had rode my bike for 60 min that day as well as doing my regular exercise routine which was over an hour by itself. I still exercised the next day it was a bit harder but I got through it. That was full body I have had my legs so sore I had issues walking down the stairs but I had done 80 proper squats in a matter of 20 min. that I skipped a day and just went back at it the day after still sore as hell.0
