I've been logging on the past few days and I've been thinking man after work tonight I'm gonna start working out. I've already cut out some bad habits (not all, but rest assured still working on it). I was just wondering, what can I do to motivate myself after work? I mean I get pretty stressed and never feel like I have the energy. I talk myself out of pushing myself. Any tips? I really want to start if I didn't have to work in 20 minutes I'd be at the gym right now.

If something is a priority, you make time for it. You probably don't go to work because you like it. You go because you get paid. You make time for it because if you didn't, you wouldn't keep getting paid.

If working out after work doesn't work for you, get up early and do it.

Love my job actually but I also need the money. I was taught myself how to do what I do and then went to school so I could get paid to do it. I'd love to be able to go to bed early but too much adrenaline. Yeah the jobs stressful, but I love it, and after I'm done my bodies just like mmmmm nope. Not today. I just some sort of trick to maybe help me sleep at night or to find the little motivation I need to push myself

How about purchasing some new workout shoes/clothes? It may seem materialistic, but that's what really motivated me to start working out. If you look good while working out, you'll perform better! Also, try laying out your workout fit the night before, so we you come home the next day, it's greeting you at the door! I hope this helps.

Maybe, guess it doesn't help I've been sick for a while. Got sent to the hospital from work been here all night. 5 days before my appointment with a specialist. I hope they figure out what's wrong.

I read a post on here a while ago about motivation vs. decision. Motivation may not always be there but sometimes that's okay. Make a decision you're going to do it and don't think about it. Put on your workout clothes and slog through it. Chances are you'll feel better once you're into it and you'll definitely be happy about it once you're done. I try to remember that on days I don't feel motivated. I've decided I'm going to do this so I will. I'm only a couple weeks in but there have been a couple of days where I felt like I was moving through mud and actually had a meltdown in the middle of one workout but I got through and am feeling better already.

Of course, if you have some underlying health issue that's at work here that's a whole other thing. I hope you're able to find out what's going on and get to feeling better!

Yeah I have an appointment with a specialist coming up soon. The problem is after / during work I'm in physical pain. They thought it might be gall stones but no stones, they think it might me an ulcer. I will find out soon I hope.
