Just curious if anyone local is on this site, I live in NH and it would be neat to have someone to chat with in the same state (aka annoying weather right now)..

    I'm not a newbie, but I live in NH. I'm between Rochester and Conway.
    Welcome to THE best site on the web!
    Between the easy to use food counter (which by the way is SUCH an eye opener!) and all the wonderfully supportive members, you WILL be able to lose the weight that you want to, AND, it'll "almost" be easy doing it!
    I recommend logging ALL your foods BEFORE you have them, rather than later, as it tends to lead to better food choices. (not to mention you'll know if you've got enough numbers left to have a night time snack, like I ALWAYS try to do!) Some people also like to weigh and measure some things, such as meats, rather than just estimating and possibly being WAY off!
    Also, drink lots of water, that seems to help alot too. :drinker:

    So I heard! Gonna be an icy mess....maybe they will cancel school..for me that is a.k.a work! LOL!!!

    Yes Newport is beautiful! My husband and I take a little weekend getaway every year in Feb at a B & B in Newport :)
    I grew up in Warwick and currently live in Burrillville.

    Yeah I am in Northeast CT, near the MA line. I am about an hour away from Boston.

    It's work for me too, (I'm a Para) and I'm wondering about em canceling too! We had sooo many snow days last year we went to school till the very end of June. NOT fun! :laugh:

    I moved to Mi just over a year ago, but before that I lived in NH. We lived in Hillsboro for about eight years. Before that I was in Keene. DH grew up in Orford and lived in Concord for a bit.

    Wow, hey guys.. glad to see so many from this area.. I live near Lebanon, NH.. and we are in for about 5-10inches of snow tomorrow.. I HATE winter, that is when I hibernate and want to eat comfort foods...

    If we DO end up with the day off from school (work!) I'm planning on drinking extra water, shoveling for exercise, and filling up on stuff like air popped pop corn, apples, salad, etc. that are low cal but filling!
    Maybe you should do that too if you need to, rather than eat comfort foods which would hurt you come weigh in day! :smile:

    I grew up going to Charlestown every year for our family vacation week. I have cousins/ aunts that have 4 houses next and behind each other. And loved going there! We take day trips up in the summer to hit East Beach!
