I just passed my half-way point!

No pics, but I'm so happy, I just had to tell somebody!! And the only somebody(ies) that might understand my happy dance are the good folks on MFP!!

I'm 5'6 1/2" tall, started at 230, and am now at 182, with 135 as my goal, and I absolutely believe I can do this. I started on MFP after losing 21 pounds, so I have lost 27 pounds in five months and one day, losing at a rate of about 5.6 pounds a month. I am 59, will be 60 in just a few weeks, post-menopausal, extremely sedentary, and have only started walking a month ago, so this is pretty much all diet. You can do it!

Thanks to MFP, and all the wonderful people that post here, I have learned so much from you all, and you have all helped me in ways I never would have imagined in changing my life. <3

Awesome!!! That is about the same amount I am looking to loose. The halfway point seems so far away. Thank you for the motivation

You can absolutely do this too! Don't look at the total or even half-way amount you need to lose - it can be overwhelming. I see you have broken your initial goals into bite-size (heh) chunks - that is the way I have done it, and it really helps to look at smaller goals. The longer you do this, the more consistent you are with logging everything (and weighing everything, for me), the more it will become a habit that will be much easier to maintain. Good luck! :)

Wow! Our profiles are very similar and I have been struggling with starting. YOU ARE SO MOTIVATIONAL FOR ME! Congrats and I'd be doing that squirrel happy dance too if I were you! 5.6lbs per month is such a healthy and sustainable pace. WELL DONE!!! Please keep posting!!
