weight loss vs. fat loss

I notice a lot of people complaining that the scale isnt budging but please do not feel discouraged or helpless. If you are doing things correctly it doesnt have to show on the scale. Judge by bi weekly photos, or the way clothing fits. I know people want to see the numbers drop but usually when weightloss drops dramatically its because your losing muscle and a little fat. In the end do the numbers really matter or how you look in the mirror? obsessing over the scale can screw with the mind. Goodluck everyone, sorry for the rant.
