....and for the sake of my teeth, i have to cut down on Sugary treats and Drinks. :/
I'm fine with cutting out the sweet treats (well sort of ;) ) - but i need some ideas for low calorie drinks.
I don't want to drink low cal soda/fizzy drinks anymore either. So they're out.

I'm a water fan, too. Some people add stuff like Mio to it, but I like mine with ice...and in a Tervis tumbler. Tervis tumblers are the best thing to happen to water since ice. :)

Best thing to do is to cut down on the really sticky sugary treats (pretty much any carb that sticks to your teeth - dried fruit, even crackers) drink lots of water. Cheese, crunchy veggies (celery, cucumbers, etc), are good to help increase the mouths pH balance especially after treats and meals. If you are going to indulge in a sugary drink, use a straw which can help bypass the teeth. Also if you do have the drink, have it all at once rather than sipping it throughout the day to reduce the exposure to the teeth. Proper oral hygiene as you know is obviously a must (floss floss floss! haha) :)

Give the Mio shots a try. I drink a crap ton of water daily....and I use Mio throughout the day to keep the water yummy and tasty.

+1 They are also my primary source of caffeine.

    Just Goolged it.
The Black Cherry one looks really nice, but don't think they sell them here in the UK.

Water, coffee, tea. You can always use a straw so the "sugary" drinks avoid your teeth, or rinse out your mouth/brush after you drink something "sugary".

Did you dentist specifically tell you to stop drinking "sugary" drinks, or is that what you decided? I have really bad teeth and all I ever got told was "brush and floss more".

Yes, i like the idea of using a straw actually.

No, she just said the "usual" brush & floss more convo. But it was more the X-Ray of my Teeth and Gums that were a worry.
I'm really surprised i didn't need fillings tbh.
But i know myself that i need to cut down on sugary things or my Teeth will definitely suffer.

I don't know how mio effects teeth, but I assume it's much less detrimental than really acidic, or sugary drinks..
I LOVE mio, and feel it's been super important in my 50+ loss.

Sugar-free Kool-Aid packets are great, you add them to about 20 ounces of water and shake 'em up in a bottle.

As for teeth, it can help a lot to use mouthwash after you floss & brush. There's one system that suggests both a strong germ killer (Listerine) followed by a fluoride rinse (ACT) both in the morning and before bed.
I've been doing that and my teeth seem happy.

Water is the best. Pretty much everything else is acidic. Acidic drinks, even sugar free, will do as much damage in the long term.
