Ladies only! Working out with painful periods

I was about to recommend Ponstan for the period pain (it's a great help to me) but I just saw that it's nearly $500 in the US. Yikes. It's around $10 in Australia.
I've used a Mirena and it made my periods disappear altogether. Win! The drawback was it gave me migraines that could last weeks. Needless to say, I had it removed.
I do hope you find something to help you. Keep us updated how you go with the doctor. I'm sure something can be done. Best wishes.0 -

Think long and hard before a Mirena - some people get nasty side effects......read up.
Tranexamic Acid can reduce the flow (via your Doc) to pretty much nothing. And I feel better in lots of other ways too (pain, hormonal blur etc).
I think of my period as a time to hibernate a little - ease off, eat chocolate and chill. A few days later and I have a great energy boost - good time for a hard work out for me.
Good luck sorting a way through...
