Going to the gym

What does everyone do for their gym workout? I'm thinking of going this afternoon after work, since I got a membership for my own town, and am wondering what'd be best to do. I'm looking to strengthen my arms and shoulders, and (of course) that booty! If anyone has any website links with helpful advice, it'd be great!

Muscle fitness women
It is the women's section of a very popular fitness and weight lifting magaIne / website
To get started it would seem the gym would have an orientation to get you started on the various machines and movements

Look at resources from someone who has an education in strength and conditioning. New Rules of Lifting for Woman and Strong Curves would be good.

Thanks guys, this will be useful in a few months but right now I need something very basic and simple to get me started, preferably with the exact exercise written down for me (i.e 10xbicep curl etc). Any thoughts? Any help so far is super appreciated0

Every workout plan on bodybuilding.com tells you the exercises, how many sets, how many reps and how to perform the movement.

I like the way this one is laid out, thanks for showing me that!
