Having surgery - should I change my exercise goals

I will be having surgery the beginning of July. Should I change my exercise goal to "no exercise" for the 2-6 weeks I won't be able to do anything or should I leave it at 30 minutes/5 days a week? Has anyone had any experience with having to go through surgery while trying to lose weight on this site?

I think a lot of that depends on what type of surgery you have. You should probably ask your dr. what kind of exercises you will be allowed to do, and how soon.0

The surgery will be a hysterectomy but it's with a new procedure where the hospital stay will be one night instead of four. I have talked to someone who had the surgery this way and she said it took her two weeks to recover and six until she had approval to exercise. If it's six weeks until I can exercise I was wondering it I put "no exercise" in my goals for six weeks if MFP will change my calorie intake to adjust for not being able to exercise.0

Yes and they will adjust your weight calorie consumption allowance.0
