Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew how I could increase my protein intake. This is the one area I'm struggling with. Thanks

Nut's aren't a great source of protein.

And don't just focus on one "big" protein per meal. Use the reference links above to find relatively higher protein foods you enjoy in every category (veg, snacks, beverages, sides, etc.) and weave them throughout your meals: Nuts in your breakfast cereal, seeds or beans on your salad, higher protein bread or pasta (if you eat those), higher protein veg (broccoli, spinach), nuts or beans or seeds pureed in soup, greek yogurt in salad dressing or instead of sour cream. It all adds up.
I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian (for 41 years now), and it works for me.0 -

I was just saying I put them in there.0 -
Make a protein source the staple of your main meals...chicken, lamb, steak, fish.
For snacks I eat, beef jerky, nuts, yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, peanut butter
Don't be afraid to add in a protein shake. Easy way to get a lot of protein.0 -
Hi,
Looking for a protein drink that's not sweetened esp. no stevia or artificial sweetener and not a milky whey.

How much protein do you have for breakfast? Usually that's where most people are missing out.
My standard breakfast is 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon (or a some other meat) and kefir.
You can make some "protein bars" with whey and nut butters (and other goodies). Plenty of recipes on the internet.0 -

Source Naturals, Pea Protein Power, my go-to protein powder, is non dairy, neutral flavored - I like to add my own flavorings, and not sweetened. I don't recommend drinking it with just water, though.

Eggs, tuna, cottage cheese, edamame, tofu, beans, milk...that's where I get most of mine. Meat, obviously helpful, if you like it and aren't philosophically opposed to eating it.
Someone else mentioned higher-protein breads, which is a good idea and one I use, too.
Sneak it in wherever you can.
