Can't see or feel a difference?

I started off at 17st 11 on 28th July. Today, 21st Sept, I'm at 15st 3 and I can't feel or see any difference. It's disheartening. I'm not starving myself, but I'm very careful with what I eat (no carbs, mostly lots of fresh fruits, veg, eggs and fish). Why can't I see a loss in dress size, or even see any sort of change?

You're doing fantastic. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll see it.

Not sure how much 2-3 st is but keep at it.

Fat doesn't come off at the waist, comes off all over, got to give it time.

Were you taking measurements with a tape measure.

I don't know about you but my clothes fit just fine for a range of weights. Maybe you have lost a few cm or inches but your clothes are hiding it.

Be patient! Our eyes lie to us, our brains too for that matter. One day soon you will get dressed and you'll notice your clothes are just looking a tad too big on your now smaller body. Trust me!

What you eat doesn't actually make a difference to weight loss, let alone how weight loss will make you look... only calories affect weight loss. And you're not eating no carbs if you're eating fruits and vegetables! But as long as you're under your calories, you're doing it right.
It takes time. Keep doing what you're doing. It was 2 and a half stone before I saw any difference... now I look and feel amazing and confident at almost 5st gone!

My favorite saying is this: If you took a big glob of peanut butter that weighed as much as you have lost and spread it all over your body, you wouldn't have a very thick layer would you?

You also become accustomed to things that change slowly that you see every day. Like seeing a friends puppy after not seeing the puppy for two weeks - it looks completely different! But your own puppy - you see it every day and don't realize how much it's growing until one day you suddenly realize hey, it's a dog! Weight loss is the same, one day you have something that clicks and you go wow - that's so different!

Omg someone quoted something I said. I'm like famous. I'd like to thanks my parents for supporting me in my journey to create a saying.

Weight loss is a gradual thing and you look at yourself everyday. You aren't going to notice a difference unless you took some "before" pics. Trust me. The difference is there.

If I ever go nuts and decide I want to die in a horrible and newsworthy fashion, I'm slathering myself with 120 plus pounds of peanut butter and walking into bear country.

OP: If you have no pictures from when you started take one now and save it. Take one every few weeks. Pictures help a lot with visualizing progression. Just be sure to wear undies or a bikini or at least very form fitting clothes. You're the only one who has to see them.

Oh, and take the picture from the same distance and angle and in the same lighting.

Keep doing exactly what you are doing, I promise you'll see it in time! :)

It took me around 4 months to actually start noticing differences because I am my own worst critic! For me, I started spotting myself in shop windows and thinking 'wow, I didn't think I looked like that'. Once it starts clicking, it feels fantastic so hang in there! These things take time but you'll get there and once you *see* it, you'll be amazed!

If you want to die a gruesome bear death I suggest carrying a huge picnic basket into bear country (not Chicago but for real bear country). I used to watch a lot a bear documentaries when I was a kid and they seemed to like picnic baskets...especially the ones dressed in a hat an tie.

Getting eaten by Yogi would be creepier than getting gnawed on by real bears!

Going from 249lb down to 213lb should be somewhat visible in pictures of your face. Have you got before pictures? Take some current pics and compare. I would guess you will be able to see it in your cheeks, face, and neck.
