Does anyone know of a reliable calculator to use? I'm 27, 5'8" and currently weigh 153 lbs. I would like to get back to 135. I'm not always sure what my daily exercise level will be so I plugged sedentary into MFP and to lose a pound a week it suggests 1,320 calories. However, I know that's not even my BMR. So I'm finding myself a little confused.
I tend to get a good hour of moderate pace cardio in a day walking my dog and am starting a new gym regimen this week with a trainers help. We will be focusing on weights.
For the last couple of weeks I have been eating 1,500 cals, but find myself exhausted with just my daily life (which isn't crazy active) and dog walking.
Up the carbs? Up the calories? More water? Needing a little push in the smart direction.
Thanks all!

Thank you for taking the time to do this! I really do appreciate it. I was eating maybe 1300-1500 and not eating back 200 cals of working out, so I for sure found myself very tired. I'm incorporating more complex carbs for energy and finding it much easier to exist on 1,700 calories.
