Low Carb Diet Question

I've been doing a low carb, low sugar, high protein diet for the past 80 days. I am also taking daily vitamins to ensure I I've been steadily losing weight over the course of this time. Recently though, I have been losing weight at a significantly slower pace. Is anyone else doing a diet like this? Do you have any advice on low carb diets and refeeding? I'm curious to learn! Please share your thoughts

So what is your daily average caloric intake?0

Congrats on your weight loss! I don't know if there is any way of eating that doesn't lead to weight loss slowdown after a few months. It just seems to happen. Our BMR goes down if only because we are carrying less weight which requires less energy, and I've read the body adapts to exercise.
Sorry, but I don't know a thing about the advantages or disadvantages of refeeding. Maybe someone else can answer that one!0 -
Low carb is not necessarily low calorie. Losing weight doing low carb means you have to create a calorie deficit.
I did not loose weight doing low carb. I lost and controlled water weight that was all.
Low carbing affected my exercise (running and lifting) and I will tell you the brain fog for me was terrible. I do use carb cycling but it does not affect me as doing low carb daily..0 -

things like cupcakes, twinkies, donuts, etc.
load up on greens, beans, veggies, fruits.
I'm actually doing something very similar to the ideal protein and paleo diet. I have strictly been eating vegetables, meats, and occasionally fruit (about 1-2 times a week for snack). So I'd say that I'm getting plenty of vegetables and greens in. No sweets, fried/breaded foods, processed foods, soda, etc.

Protein grams ? Your diary is closed. Not sure what "slower pace" is but sounds like you're still losing.
I've never seen any evidence to support refeeding and it's not like your carb level is that low to start with.0 -
Are you using a food scale and can you open your food diary? You have to also understand that the first several weeks of low carb can lead to some large weight loss as you are burning through glycogen/water. And it's very common for weight loss to slow down.0

I'll open my food diary up, didn't realize it was closed! And yes, I do indeed use a food scale

How much weight were you losing vs how much are you losing now.
Also, if you are following low carb, you need high fat. Right now it appears you have low cab, low fat, high protein.0 -
I've been losing around 2-3lbs a week. And I've actually been stuck on this same weight for about a week and a half now.0

I did a low carb, High fat, high protein 1500-1800 calorie diet lost over 100 lbs doing it made some mistakes along the way but I learned from them. Low carb = flat muscles so I added more carbs in my macros but still keep my protein above or around .8 grams per lb and fat above a .4. I use carbs to adjust my weight and although its much harder to stay at my Maintenance weight than to lose or gain I have been where I want to be the last 4 months

Generally speaking, most low carvers do moderate protein and high fat. There seem to be more benefits to doing it that way since very high protein will keep your insulin levels higher, similar to what carbs do.
I'm glad what you are doing wrks for you. If you wish to follow a more typical low carb diet, protein is often under 25%.
ETA are you just getting closer to goal? Are carbs creeping up, be cause that will cause water gains.0
