@_Terrapin_ didn't realize it was offensive to give you some groups on the topic while you waited for the OP. I won't do it for you again.

Who are you? You do realize the OP did get back to me above. Thanks for your concern but I wasn't asking for groups, appreciate how much you care and that was very thoughtful. I'm not sure how asking someone(the OP) to open their diary lead you to misinterpret my need for your advice on how to find groups. Again, thanks so much. It seems you get offended easily on the threads so maybe taking a break from them would be of benefit to you.

    I am lost once more.

Why would you do something again when it made you miserable and didn't deliver what you wanted the first time?

^This. I don't understand OP. What are your goals? Are you doing this temporarily (sounds like it)? Trying to lose weight by juicing?

You do realize that you could set an appropriate calorie deficit for your height/weight and activity level, diligently log the foods you eat (even drink juice if you like it), and lose weight.... right?

    @brianpperkins @WinoGelato

Al though I was disappointed for not loosing weight while I juice for 7 days, does not mean I was miserable. I felt really good juicing. Have me lots of energy. However, the most important benefit from juicing for me and the reason why I am giving it another try is bc while juicing my body did not crave any fattening food. Doing Fruit and veggies on juice made me not want to eat pizza or burgers instead i felt like having something similar like a salad.

You asked for advice if it was a good idea to have two meals of juice and one of food. @_Terrapin_ has asked you to open your diary because it's difficult to make that determination without seeing the types of foods and nutrients you are getting.

The first meal of just orange juice and then a second of just kale juice makes me think that you might be missing a lot of nutrients. Many people who juice combine many different fruits and vegetables to round out the nutrition of a single drink.

But beyond the juice, you body has requirements for fat and protein as well. What kinds of food are you eating for dinner? What did you total calorie intake end up being (and how are you calculating the calories of your juice)? How many grams did you get of fat and protein for the day?

Answering some of these questions could help us answer your question of "is this ok?".

This gif is so on point it is not funny. If the bulk of your diet is juicing, that generally equals a very low calorie diet lacking in essential nutrients/macros, which is not healthy unless you are obese and under the supervision of a doctor. And, a doctor will not put you on a VLCD unless the risk of staying obese outweighs the risk of going on such a diet.

So no juicing? I think you guys might be right

I have a juicer and I love making homemade juices to have with a meal or snack. I throw some veggies and fruits in that juicer and come up with some tasty concoctions. However, a homemade juice for me is a treat only because experience has taught me that my best weight management results come from eating real food in moderation. I have tried juicing to lose weight, just as I've tried other extreme weight loss methods, and experience has taught me that any diet will work if I eat at a calorie deficit, and no diet will work if I don't eat at a calorie deficit.

When it comes to losing weight, science teaches that eating at a calorie deficit is the bottom line. The only magic any type of meal plan/diet has is the magic you give it. :)

Last time I did jucying I lasted 7 days and lost not one single lb!!! I was soooooo disappointed but i'm willing to try it again!

My son and his wife juice for their morning, but don't replace other meals with it. They add lots of different fruits and vegetables to their juicer (they got one that includes the pulp as well as the juice so they aren't losing fiber and other nutrients).
Juicing doesn't drop a lot of calories for you - you have to count the calories of all of the fruits and vegetables that you are adding to your juices. You also still have to count all the calories of other foods you are consuming during the day. If you aren't in a calorie deficit, you won't lose weight.
For many people (including my son and his wife) juicing isn't about weight loss or control, it's about a different way to consume many different fruits and vegetables in a different way than the typical cooked ways, or just crunching on them raw.

The OP got back to you AFTER me. So I was trying to be helpful when I sent you the groups. I thought you just wanted info on juicing in general. Didn't realize it had to be from her diary.

Im not offended at all. Like I said, I won't respond to you anymore.

Well, as others have pointed out since - the key to losing weight is to be in a calorie deficit. It helps to eat a balanced, primarily nutrient dense diet to impact satiety and ensure you are getting all of the various nutrients you require. If you want to use juice as a way to get some of those nutrients, then by all means, go for it, but drinking just orange juice, just kale juice (ugh), and then eating one other meal sounds like it would not be filling enough, nor provide enough of other essential macro nutrients like fat and protein, and not even enough micro nutrients.

Have you figured out the calories in your juices - how many cals are you consuming total when trying to lose weight? What are your other stats: height, weight, activity level, and how much are you trying to lose?
