No, if you have a smart phone it already tracks your activity why pay money for something you already have access to. As far as the fitbit that has sleep tracking and a heart rate monitor the trackers are not very accurate so not worth the cost

I agree. The heart rate is definitely not accurate compared to wearing a HRM strap around your chest. And not Accurate for me on my steps at all. And I had the settings correct on it too.

So, I had actually bought a fitbit HR charge and took it back to Best Buy after a week and traded it for a polar a300. I like the polar that I got because it's waterproof and I don't have to think about taking it on and off

I hadn't considered using my iPhone as a tracker maybe I'll play around with that too but for me the polar is much easier to deal with as is just on my wrist. I got the one that has the additional heart rate strap with it

I love my fitbit and find it to be pretty accurate...definitely more accurate than using a smart phone. Most smart phones are huge these days and don't fit in your pocket so its hard..at least with the fitbit you can just wear it on your wrist. I have heard wonderful things about the polar watches, but I have never tried one.

I love my fit bit. It seems pretty accurate for me as well. It keeps me off the couch lol. But still haven't figured out the whole calorie burn for extra exercise. Weight loss at a limbo but getting better by eating 1/4-1/2 calories back.

I think it's easier for guys to use their phones as a pedometer. I don't have pockets that can comfortably hold my phone in any of my pants...lol

I like my fitbit. It's not super accurate, but it helps keep me accountable and aware of what I'm doing.

I've recently bought my fitbit and it's been really useful in working out my maintenance calories! By working this out, I'm able to determine that I am in fact eating at the correct deficit. Really useful :)

Ideal for your average Joe to track calories, steps and sleep. They are cheap and chips and do motivate you to be more active so money well spent.
