thank you from the bottom of my heart for stepping up and being humane where someone else couldn't or wouldn't. It kills me to see animals suffering. Unlike humans, animals don't have voices and thumbs and therefore can't make alternative arrangements when something goes wrong. Your quick response was a loving heart and an able hand -- and I am proud of you.
I have taken in a pregnant cat who popped out 4 newbies and they're cute but now we have to find homes for them all, as we are already full here. Pray I'm able to find them places!0 -
Cutest. Puppies. Ever! I can see how you would get attached so quickly! I'm glad you found them homes with your co-workers. We have a cat here at work that we found on campus as a kitten and no one wanted to (or could) take her home, so she ended up living upstairs in our big break room because we all got attached to her and didn't want to give her up. Most spoiled rotten thing ever! (she wasn't dumped, we have some wild cats around that sometimes abandon their little ones....) You'll have fun listening to the new owners tell stories about those 2 cuties!
Yes they are :drinker: Well besides my puppy at home....well he's 115lbs so not really a puppy but to me he is   I remember when he was that small....they grow up so fast *sniffle*. I love dogs. And that's kinda cool you've got a mascot at the office
Ok time to go....*hugs* :smooched: :flowerforyou:0 -
Kelch there is a special place in heaven for you! I am so happy those babies found you and not the wheels of a car!!

Awwwww...thanks for the kind words. I couldn't have responded any other way. What you said is well put and the way I feel exactly.
And Bless you for taking care of those cats. Poor babies. :flowerforyou: I hope you find them loving homes. I will definately pray for that :flowerforyou: *hugs*0 -

After reading the first couple of lines I was afraid to continue reading cause I thought something bad was going to happen to the puppies. Whew....what a relief to find out I was wrong! I am so glad you found them good homes and will be able to see them grow up. :flowerforyou:0

WTG, Kellch! I've been known to stop in the middle of a road to pick up a dog, try to find its home & then place it. Plus, I'm big on no-kill shelters & what not so I am VERY happy that those doggies found someone like you & not another jerk like the first person that left them there. Jerks. *hugs*0

Thanks guys it feels good to know they've got warm places to sleep tonight and food for their bellies. They both have vet appointments already too. :drinker: :flowerforyou:0
-
aww that was so kind of you to take them in and feed them and bathe them.0
-
what a kind hearted person you are! i have a HUGE soft spot for animals also. i don't understand how anyone could have done that. good for you for being such a good foster mom to those furbabies! i'm sure they thank you more than you could ever know!0

OMG they're adorable!!
people are idiots!
thankfully there is people like you still out there. people who still have a heart.
What you did was awesome & I can totally see why you would get attached. It's too bad they couldn't stay together but they'll get used to their new homes apart. YOU'RE AWESOME!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
Oh wowww! They are so so cute.
I'm glad you found them a good place to stay, Just think on the bright side... At least you know the homes they are going too!! Since you work with them I'm sure you wil get updates and see them once in awhile. xox0 -
They are adorable. You are an angel. I am so proud of you.0

im as bad as you. I cant resist those eyes that waggy tail. Thats why I have 3. I also feel that I cant see them hurt feeling, so when i got my 3rd i knew his options were me or certain death there is NO way I could do that, so i am with you on that loving feeling. They are precious and Im glad someone good grabbed them up and props to you for helping them too!!!!0

sooooo cute... I want a puppy so badly.. but this is just not the right time in my life.. I have a 3 year old and a cat..lol! that will have to suffice for now.0

Yes they are a lot of work, time, money, and I just don't have any time or money to spend on them....otherwise I'd still have them  But even though it was hard to let them go, it felt very good to know that I probably saved their lives and ended their pain. Poor little ones were so banged up and full of worms :brokenheart: It's just terrible that people can just dump a couple helpless little puppies off somewhere :grumble: They are safe now though :drinker:
Sad thing is, it happens all the time
Everyone needs to remember that there are no kill shelters out there and places that will take them....give them a chance at life.....it's the humane thing to do...don't just dump them :flowerforyou:0 -
Awww...how awful and sad! I'm glad you found them homes. I can totally picture you, Steve, and 3 dogs in the bed:laugh: I will have to show mom the pictures...she would have grabbed one in a heartbeat! I want to get a dog for the kids, but not until we get some more space.0

Ok.......so yesterday, I decided to walk my dog. We got to the end of a Cul De Sac, and there were two puppies standing there staring at me. At first, I thought nothing of it. Just thought the neighbors got new puppies. They ran up to me and I leaned over to pet them. So cute :bigsmile: Then I heard the neighbor lady yelling "If you want em you can keep em. Some man dropped em off two days ago and they've been running around out here" They looked at me like ---> So I couldn't leave em. I picked em up and carried em home :bigsmile: I gave them both baths, fed them, gave them dewormer pills, made them a little bed with an old blanket, laid some newspaper down, and blocked them in our kitchen. :bigsmile: They are just so cute and adorable but we already have a rottie and live in a subdivision. There's just not enough room for them :brokenheart: :sad: :sad: So I came to work today and found homes for them. I'm kind of sad we have to part them....they've been through so much together. Poor little things had cuts all over them. Stupid idjuts...how do you just leave two little cute puppies on the road somewhere I snuggled with them for a while last night before I went to bed They are so well behaved for being only 8-10 weeks old and so sweet. They just laid on their beds all night and didn't get into anything. And the only place they went potty is on the newspaper. Anyhow I found them both homes at work today. And the guy that took the female just left with her And the male was crying so I brought him over by my desk and put him in his box and the guy that's taking him just took him over by his desk. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: I already got attached :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: But at least I found them both good homes and I told them both that if it doesn't work out to let me know and I'll take them back and find them homes again :bigsmile: Maybe I'll keep em :bigsmile: :laugh: J/K I can't Anyhow that's the story. Here's Some pics (I couldn't really get good pics my camera on my phone stinks :grumble: }
aww what cuties! glad you found a good home for them though. I wish I could have pets.. but both hubby and son are deathly allergic:sad:0 -

OH! I wish I had known I could have held on to them and met her half way or something......then I know I could see him or her. :drinker: And with your mom, I know for sure the pup would be spoiled ROTTEN :laugh:0 -

J/K...I guess that's the right thing to do0 -
Ok........I hate to bump my own post........but that's ok....I know I'm a loser  :drinker: :smokin:
Anywho........update on the pups......
The guy that took the male said that his son has fallen in love with the puppy. He took him for a walk and was supposed to come right back home. When his dad went to check on him, he found his son and all of his friends on the neighbor's trampoline (spelling?? :ohwell: ) with the puppy up there too. He said he'l got his own bed, got his shots, and has a lot of toys already:bigsmile: Soooooo that one turned out good :drinker:
The guy that took the female came in today. The first thing he said to me is "I oughta strangle you" :ohwell: I said "why?" He says "my wife loves that darn puppy more than me" He said "it was supposed to be an outside dog but she's not gonna let that happen. I have to take the puppy and put it in bed with her every morning before I leave for work and the darned thing is already sooooo spoiled. But she's a cutie and a snuggler, she's definately already part of the family" So they both have good homes now. I did good!
