Sore

In Sunday I began with a simple exercise or what I thought was going to be. I did 2 sets of each rep 20 squats, 20 lunges, 10 push ups, 15 sec plank, 10 dumbbell rows each arm, and 30 jumping jacks. I then went to work and walk my average of about 8 miles. I was very sore yesterday. Getting up and sitting back down were horrible. I'm still a little sore today. Now for the question the plan was to do the sets every other day, so do I do them today or wait until tomorrow because I'm sore still today?

When you first start out, I would wait a couple days between workouts. Your body will get used to the DOMS. I'd say give it a couple days in between for a couple weeks and then go every other day. It all depends on your preference, though. Some lifters swear you need to work through the soreness or you'll lose motivation. No pain, no gain I guess for some. Personally, two years ago when I started, I also planned on every other day until I did my first workout. I started with SL 5X5 and did workout A and B once a week for two weeks. Then I went into every other day on week 3.

    Nerd Fitness beginner bodyweight routine?

I would suggest doing them today, possible scaled back a bit. But I would precede them with 5-10 minutes of a warm up (walking is good) and a bit of stretching. Fitnessblender's lower body stretches for flexibility was the video that I found helpful when doing that routine.

Activity will help the pain abate. Scale back if needed but doing nothing will cause it to last longer.
Usually by the end of my warm up I feel fine even with severe DOMS.

Yes nerd fitness beginner bodyweight routine. Yesterday was my first day off of work so I did nothing so probably why I'm still sore. I think I'll probably go for a bike ride today and go back to my routine tomorrow or do it this evening.

What does DOMS mean? I'm new so not sure of all the acronyms.

    Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.

Aerobic activity increases blood flow to the muscles which helps to flush out waste material built up by exercise, thereby decreasing the pain.
