    You can eat whatever you would like, just eat fewer calories than your body burns. But if you are interested in some foods with lower calorie counts than you are currently eating (so you can eat a higher volume of food), check out the "Recipes" section of the forum.

    Breakfast: try a veggie-loaded omelet. Super filling and lots of variety, depending on what you put in it.
    Lunch: tuna; lean chicken breast sandwiches or salads;
    Dinner: stir fry vegetables; lean meat with lots of vegetables; whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, or whole-wheat pasta.

  • Everyone is different to some degree, so I can only offer you what works for me:
    Be careful to not associate DIFFERENT with BAD. Some people taste foods that are different and assume the food tastes bad. "That doesn't taste like fried chicken strips, or burgers, or potatoes, or salt...it must taste bad!" Not true!

    Try substitution. I LOVE burgers. Nothing wrong with a burger, unless that burger is putting you over your calorie goals. I decided to try black bean burgers. Although still high in calories, I don't feel as...greasy...afterwards. Pretty good! You might also want to try Boca Burgers or something like that. I put some olive oil in the pan and cook the patties in that. They get crispy, taste pretty good, and aren't dreadfully high in calories.

    I now like carrot slices. Never thought that was possible, but there you go. The crunch isn't like a potato chip, of course, but having a variety of textures in a meal helps me enjoy it more. (Like a sandwich with carrot chips instead of Ruffles.)

    Also, different colors are kind of interesting. If fresh vegetables are a bit difficult, there are some good frozen stir-fry packages. I like the red and yellow peppers and the purple onions with the green snow peas and broccoli...it looks pretty. You can have that over some rice with a chicken breast fillet or fish fillet.

    I do recommend trying to dial back the salt. You'll become accustomed to the actual taste of the foods and not the added salt. With white fish, you can use lemon and pepper---for me I don't add any salt now. Doesn't need it.

    At breakfast you can do the eggs like rosebarnalice said. Eggs are great, my body just can't tolerate only eggs. My breakfast is often some cereal like Grape Nuts with half a can of weight-loss shake. I think it's 200 calories for the cereal and then 90 for the half can of shake. Works for me.

    You are going to think it's too difficult to change your habits and that's ok. BUT IT GETS EASIER. I promise.
    Just keep learning---what new foods you like, how to prepare them, what works well together...you'll get it.

    I believe in you.

    Eat whatever you enjoy in moderation :]
    That's what I do!

    Realistically - eating vegetables and fruit all day everyday isn't something I'm likely to keep up in the long-run, so I don't do it! I try and make 'healthy' choices here and there and I DO include vegetables in my diet but ultimately, I enjoy pizza. I enjoy chips. I enjoy chocolate. So I eat it. Monitoring the quantity has definitely helped my weight loss! It's the calorie deficit that makes the difference - making wise choices will eventually become second nature!
