Please answer the question I asked, I know the risk and I know what it is. Can someone tell me if they did or doing it. What meal did you eat and how well did you accomplish? Thanks

Eating 1 meal a day? If you are hitting your calories and macros for the day then I see no harm. You might look into Intermittent Fasting. Otherwise, I have no idea what you're talking about.0

What risk are you talking about? If it's eating just one meal a day, there are no inherent risks unless you're Type 1 or Type 2 diabetic.
You just have to get enough calories to make sure your deficit is sensible and get those calories from nutritious foods. It's just a form of intermittent fasting. Unless you're doing it to create an unreasonably high calorie deficit, then it is a problem.0 -

Then check out the intermittent fasting forums here. There are several forms of it. Including one big meal a day.0 -

If you hit your daily calorie goal from this one meal, then you should be fine. No harm done.if you don't intend to hit your calorie goal from this one meal, that will not be supported on this site.
I hope you get the answers your seeking

I do eat one big meal a day and have since Oct 2014. I lost an additional 20 lbs since but I have to make sure I'm hitting my calories for the day as well as get close to the macros I have set. It's not magic , but it's a way for me to stick to my calorie goals for the day. Like the person above me said, check out IF groups on MFP.

I have no experience eating one meal a day for long a duration of time (there have been times where I would be fasting for 16+ hours as a part of basal testing for my diabetes and would end up only being able to eat one true "meal" that day), but this is from more a nutritional standpoint.
If you're only planning on eating one meal a day, you'll need to plan to eat at least 1200 calories within that meal in order to meet MFP's minimum. Don't expect to eat a 300-calorie meal thinking it will cause quicker weight loss -nutritional deficiencies can occur and you could lose serious amounts of muscle. Within that 1200 calorie meal, you will have to do a bit of planning to make sure that you're hitting your macronutrient and micronutrient targets (eating 1200 calories in Big Macs will provide different nutrients than eating 1200 calories in kale which will provide different nutrients than eating 1200 calories in beans and rice, etc.).
