Chime in! Just for fun! It's time to drag out the winter clothes...again...

I am going through the arduous process of replacing my summer wardrobe in my closet to my winter drab-robes...(those of you with dressing rooms are L.U.C.K.Y!)

That being said, I can't wait to lose enough wait to get rid of these clothes that have seen quite a few winters.

POLL: Do you keep just clothes that fit in your closet or do you save other sizes for when you are "smaller" or bigger?"

Personally, I get rid of anything that doesn't fit, or I would have the same clothes for the remainder of my life. Nothing gives me more pleasure than making donation bags for Goodwill/Salvation Army.

What about YOU? :D

I have a winter jacket I bought two years ago and have never worn. It still doesn't fit but since I'm not pregnant this year maybe it will fit by the end of winter...

I do tend to cull my closet once or twice a year, but if something was never worn I keep it longer in the hopes that it will fit someday...

If I havent warn it for a year, I get rid of it. Unless I love it, it fits and it might be in style this year.

Thanks, Jacqueline, for chiming in! I have several things that I have not work for one year; however, I am having trouble parting with them. Nothing special, just average stuff, but I guess I am unconsciously waiting to wear them before I discard them. The one year rule is a great rule to go by. I just finished the seasonal clothes switchout from summer to winter. I am not going to buy any new clothes until I shrink out of these winter clothes -- when they are too big, they are GOING, GOING, GONE!

I'm working on getting rid of anything that doesn't fit now; I do have a few dresses that do not quite fit that I want to hang on to. Now I need to go back through the closet and get rid of stuff that I rarely wear, even if it does fit. Need to make room for the new me!

This coming weekend, I am going to start culling everything that is in my larger size. It no longer fits & I see no reason to keep it. I still have some pieces of clothing that I kept over the years that doesn't fit me, but they are in smaller sizes so I am keeping them. As for this winter, I had to buy new clothes. Last year's clothing is way too big & quite worn looking - I guess that's a good problem to have! ;-)

That's a GREAT problem to have! I can see keeping smaller clothes to shrink into. I get rid of the "too big" clothes so I don't have an easy way to re-gain the weight.
