I can only speak for myself but when I lost weight in my 20's I didn't take into account my health :D Fast & Quick!

This time around my weight loss was for health reasons and while it took longer I was willing to invest that time because I hoped the changes that I have made are changes that I can live with for the long run. After feeding myself on my own terms in the wrong ways for so long taking the time to educate myself has some much been worth it!

No. I'm 59 and have lost 55 pounds so far. I eat plenty of carbs.

Thanks to everyone for all of the responses. After reading through this it seems I may have more of a mental hurdle to overcome than a physical one. I appreciate your insight.

I turned 40 this year, and the diet and training methods are no different from when I was 20, although I suspect it might be taking me longer to recover between workouts (solved by adding an extra rest day) - but nothing like as bad as recovering from hangover is now.
