Finding myself in a rut about once a month

I am so frustrated with myself! I've lost 53 lbs and have at least 47 more to go. I'm very happy with what I've accomplished so far but I want to stay on that path. Don't get me wrong I know that from time to time I am going to splurge on a treat here and there but I am finding myself once a month where I just really want to eat and I'm doing it. I do good all day and then in the evening I go crazy eating here and there. What do you do at times like this?

Is it TOM? Sometimes I drink hot chicken broth or miso broth to get over the cravings. I took the whole summer off and ate at maintenance. I do better in the colder weather because of hot drinks.0

Yes it is.. So I know I can't make the cravings go away so to speak but it's just making me be off on my dieting for a week at least. I feel out of control almost. But it's like a battle in my head lol bc I don't want to eat bad but then I just end up doing it lol0

Some ideas: When the craving hits...Go for a walk. Chew gum. Take a shower.0

I don't have TOM anymore but when I did I craved rare red meat. When I had the cash I'd buy a filet mignon, some veggie and bake a potato. Yum. I tried to make the calories fit, this was years ago btw. If I got what my body wanted I was less likely to eat random stuff.0

Save your calories for the evening during that week. Or plan to eat at maintenance for that week and eat at a deficit the other three weeks.0

That's what I am going to try today. Eat minimum carbs thru the day and eat a good supper so I'll be satisfied. If that doesn't work I'll up the calories for the week. Great advice! Thanks0
