"What Is TrendWeight, Exactly?

When you really want to track your weight loss, you probably know you should disregard day to day changes in weight and instead focus on the trend over time. To do this, TrendWeight uses the methodology described by John Walker in his online book, The Hacker's Diet.

The idea is pretty simple. You weigh yourself each day on either a FitBit Aria Scale or a Withings WiFi Scale, and TrendWeight will plot a moving average from your daily weight alongside your daily scale weight. This gives you a better idea of your weight trend by masking most of the day to day noise that variances in water weight introduce. Your dashboard will also calculate some statistics that will help you fine tune how much you are eating so that you hit your desired rate of weight loss."

  • Yeah, Fitbit works pretty cool together with MFP. I use it all the time, even while sleeping to track my awakenings. So far, so good!

    Calorie King app on the phone- you can punch in exactly the grams of whatever you're weighing and it gives you calories, fat, carbs, protein, etc- no math needed.

    For me it's:
    Food Scale
    Body Weight Digital Scale
    Measuring cups / spoons
    Portion control Tupperwear (like that's exactly 1/2 a cup or exactly 1 cup - and has measurements on them)
    Elastic Bands for Resistance Training arms and legs - any time any where
    Hand Bike (just the crank part, I can do use my legs to turn the "bike", and it fits under my desk)
