Hi guys,
Been doing great for almost a month and then some anxiety and what not has kicked in and I'm struggling to keep it together.
Binge eater from way back so I've gone straight back to food.
The positives are that my "binges" now are pretty tame- consist of a day of healthy eating and then a take away for dinner with a choccy or something after.....
Just feeling rather flat having done so well lately. Sick of this getting the better of me

Awareness is the first step towards change, you're on the right track, just had a minor detour. Don't beat yourself up over it. Log it and continue to move forward. The fact that your binges are tame is a great first step. Keep going, you can do it!0

What are the triggers for your anxiety?
How will eating a take-away help?
Wouldn't a walk round the park, or sitting down and writing it out, or doing some mindfulness meditation, or speaking to a counsellor help more?0 -
I think that unless you only have to lose a few lbs, then it's inevitable that we will hit stressful bumps while dieting. Then, if we manage to go through those without resorting back to old ideas.....we actually are making good progress on the thinking part of overeating.
So if you got through a "binge" and didn't undo all your progress, you actually are way ahead. WTG!0 -
Hey it takes 21 days to change a habit. Try replacing ur binging with something else. When I'm stressed or feeling out n down I've started doing a short kickboxing or kettle bell workout. The power moves helped me get out the frustration and after left me feeling good. Your a strong woman who can over come any obstacle. Great job reducing ur normal binge but try n add something n make that ur new habit.0

Even if you eat over your calories for the day, you hopefully aren't going over maintenance, so you're not undoing the hard work you have already put in. But I identify with your post.
I'm having major struggles lately. Fudgeos for the first time in months and not surprisingly, I ate the entire box. Thankfully today begins fresh. No more of those suckers. I'm a person who has trouble with that one cookie business! Lol

It sounds like you are getting the better of it. Your binges are being tamed. It's a blip. It is going to happen to almost everybody so hang in there.
On a related note, I eat a LCHF diet, and I found that when I reduced my carbs (greatly) my carb cravings (sugars, sodas, candy, chips) almost disappeared. It is much easier to handle now. If your binges are carbs, and you think a LCHF diet sounds doable, perhaps look into it when things even out a bit more for you.
I don't know much about BED, but I imagine eliminating some cravings could be a good tool.

Thanks everyone ❤️ Today's a new day and I'm going to start with a fresh mindset.
Thanks for the support Xx0
