Check their site for nutritional information and match it in the database.

yes, but there are exceptions. For example, a hard taco supreme has way more calories than one without the supreme toppings. The entries don't really show the difference so it's better to cross reference from Taco Bell's site and then chose the entry that matches on MFP.

Always check the restaurant's website first, then search the database for a matching entry, because no, it's not accurate even half the time.

I can tell you this much--Taco Bell is the only fast food place I will still eat, and I go there once every couple of weeks as a treat. I usually get the #8 (3 non-supreme tacos) with a diet whatever and if I'm super hungry I'll add in a double decker taco.

Compared to what I eat day to day, this is a little higher calorie meal than I'm used to, but I have not had any set backs or weight gain from it. In fact, the last time I ate it, I lost a pound a day for the next two days!

So I guess I can't really know for sure if the calories listed for Taco Bell are 100% correct or not, but I can say from personal experience that they are probably pretty close. You just never know when you go to a chain, even when that food is "verified" on MFP. There's no way to guarantee that the person making your tacos followed the portion rules set by Taco Bell--just like any other chain with verified items in MFP.
