I drink a can of diet pop/ soda every day, even though its zero calories, zero fat etc, are they ok to incorporate in a diet plan?

As long as you don't have any reactions to the sweeteners used

Diet drinks are fine, but I have discovered it is easier for me to maintain my calories without them so I drink mainly water now. Not sure if this is physiological or psychological :-)

I know if it wasn't for sugar free drinks I'd definitely always be over my calorie account.. I recently gave up energy drinks altogether because they contained upwards of 200 calories..

so even though they don't have any calories, I found when I cut out my diet coke all together (now I have one every few days) my belly decreased significantly. I felt less bloated and I also didn't crave bad sugary foods. I think it has to do with the fake sugars, however you'll still lose weight drinking it.

It's not the artificial sweeteners, it's the carbonation. And if it makes you uncomfortable, then it's completely a personal choice to stop drinking them. The carbonation will not stall weight loss, though, or cause any I'll effects

Where as diet pepsi seems to help ease sugary cravings for me. If I feel like I want a little bit of something sweet, I drink diet pepsi or rooibos tea, and I'm good. :)

yep, zero calorie drinks regularly rescue me from temptation - like at the cinema last week where coke zero saved me from the popcorn.

I also recommend San Pellegrino mineral water, the only mineral water I'm willing to pay for.

Ive been trying to cut down to 3 cups a day to encourage myself to drink more water but it has totally made a big difference compared to when I was drinking regular soda

I have cut out diet soda completely because even though it has no calories it seemed to increase my cravings for sweets. I do miss Fresca though.

I drink diet colas........never has triggered me to want sweets. I am drinking more water, though, as suggested, so I notice I don't want as many soft drinks as usual.

This morning I've already polished off three cups of water; one cup sweetened with Mio at breakfast, a cup of Vanilla chai at work, and now I'm working on a caffeine free diet coke. Hydrating really helps stave off a headache.
