so I'm weighing in at 89 lbs and in way under weight for my bmi, I'm not even sure how this happens . I eat when I'm hungry and I have 2 kids !!! But I really hate my body and have just been obsessing with gaining weight without being miserable doing so ! Wish me luck !

Are you in therapy?0

No ,I don't know where to go or what to do other than eat a lot . I've went to Drs but they never do anything really . I'm not scared of getting big I want to so I don't think I have a problem that way I just find myself only eating 700 calories a day , and will go days doing this , and I smoke ,stress makes me smoke a lot more than normal which also doesn't help0

Good luck gaining I can sympathise, it's not easy eating a lot when you are used to eating very little. I get what you are going through, I did the same for years. Keep at it though, you'll get there0

I'm not sure if this is true, but I've heard people gaining weight during the process of quitting smoking. Guess it's the constant snacking (need something to grab between fingers and put into mouth) that cause the weight-gain. OP, maybe this could help?!0

If you are one to forget to eat, set alarms on your phone for reminders. Calorie dense foods can help a lot, pistachio's and whole milk have been a savior for me. I would leave bags of pistachios all over the place to encourage me to snack.
Keep that 'before' picture for comparison, 2 months from now, take another snap0 -
I sure will and I will deff try the nuts as a snack I like to snack !!!! I am hoping I can just grab my shoulders and not feel bones one day0

+1 on the calorie dense foods. Always go with full fat versions.
Not sure that macro management would help too much, but protein and fats are supposedly more satiating, so maybe concentrate on a higher level of carbs?0 -
Speaking a foreign language right now ,how about some examples of foods I should be eating guys ????? That I can work with lol0
-
Peanut butter, olive oil, anything to get to 1200 minimum calories0

One decent sized bowl of ice cream would double your caloric intake.0

Did you eat the first 900 very quickly?

Try ramping up slower. Rather than going from zero to a hundred in one day, try adding 200 calories per day to your current routine. Next week, you can add another 200.0

Sweetie. Going from 700 to 2500 is like trying to fly a jumbo jet after your first single engine Cessna lesson. Give your body some time to adapt. You've got to 1000 so far today. Get in 200 more and count your day as a success.
Diabetics must eat on a schedule and after a while it becomes routine. If you plan to eat every couple hours, even small snacks, you can slowly adapt to eating more and becoming reacquainted with your hunger signals. Having snacks on hand like nuts and hiker's mix can help a lot. Have protein bars or something similar in your purse and in your glove box. Always having something on hand will remind you to eat often.0 -

I'm gaining weight to, load up on your breakfast in calories, protein and carbs. Chicken, eggs, turkey sausage or oatmeal and bananas! For me I eat 3 eggs and 8oz of turkey sausage and I have gained 3 pounds consistently. Lots of protein.0

LoL Fantastic! Get used to that feeling. That's where I found the whole milk helped. I find drinking my calories easier, you feel a bit bloated for a wee while after drinking a pint of milk but it only lasts ten minutes or so and you feel normal again. 10 minutes of heaviness = 370 calories0 -

Seconding this.
It is okay not getting to 2500 the first day, or even the first week. Just try fo a little more each day.karaceason wrote: »Yeah yall are right I am trying to get there way to fast and yes I ate like a freaking starving jungle child in 1 hour and now I'm miserable lol .i have never felt this full in my life . Also seconding this. Drink calories is much easier than eating them. Drinking a couple glasses of whole milk over the day can add a lot of calories.
Also, normal sodas can help too.
What also helps is not buying any diet or low fat products. Just go for regurlar and whole options.
