You can't spot reduce, just continue to lose weight and the fat will come off where & when it wants to. This is a great thread: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p1

If you'd like to gain muscle then you can eat at a surplus + progressive strength training program.

^Definitely read through the first post in this link if you haven't yet, OP. It's a great starting point.0 -
OP, I think you need to read some stickies and perhaps google "how to gain muscle" and "spot reducing".
Eat at deficit if you need to lose fat. Jog for cardiovascular health. Lift heavy to maintain LBM as you lose, which will help you achieve a nice looking stomach.0 -
Thanks so much everyone !!!!0

All the responses here seem correct. Work abdominal muscle for a toned look and reveal it by eating cleanand losing fat.
The only thing that ever made my stomach/waist reduce significantly in only about three days was a whole foods plant based diet free from gluten. I was eating two pounds of veg a day (1 lb raw and 1 lb cooked) in addition to limited cards, nuts, fruit, and flaxseed oil on Eat to Live. It totally reduced the inflammation in my tummy from toxic crappy food. It didn't change my body fat or weight right away but definitely flattened my stomach quickly.0 -

I know, I'm just saying that it's not fat I'm really worried about as I don't have much so I am focusing more on gaining the muscle through working out and eating right0 -

thank you! I really appreciate the diet tips. I should add that I eat as well as possible and I include a ton of fruit, veggies and nuts in my diet. What foods are the best to cut out? I regularly eat 12 grain bagels even though those contain gluten.0
