The canned chicken i usually buy has about 600mg of sodium in a 5 oz can, how much of that would you guess is retained after draining/rinsing?

Is it like tuna? Can you get it in springwater?

It doesn't exist over here, I find that fascinating

yeah, pretty much just like tuna. the stuff i buy is in water not oil. personally i think it's juicy and delicious though i'm sure cooking my own would be better.

What do you use it for? Sandwiches? *nosy*

soup or pasta dishes mostly, i live alone so it's a nice way to get a quick convenient single serving. works well for salads too. i have weighed it before and after and about 1/3 of the can is water which i would have to assume must have a decent amount of the sodium but yeah i suppose it is probably still high in it.
