Insatiably Hungry

What is going on! I feel like I'm STARVING all the time! I haven't lost or gained any weight. I'm just sitting at the same weight, but I'm more concerned about why I'm eating my TDEE and I feeling like I could eat an entire cow.
I am not preggers.
I am not preggers.

Are you eating protein at every meal? AND, are you eating slowly so that your brain registers that you are full?0

Ha! I just said something similar to my co-worker. I have felt the same way for the past few days.0

When I was eating any old CICO, I was hungry. Especially when I worked out too. I changed my diet, dropped the C.R.A.P. and hunger has not been an issue. C-Carbonated Drink, R-Refined Sugar, A-Artifical Food, P-Processed Foods. All the fake food and empty calories just don't fill you up the same way real food does. Once I made that switch, I was golden.0

I can't speak for the OP, but that isn't the problem for me. 30 minutes ago I ate a 5 oz pork chop, 4 stalks of broccoli roasted w olive oil and a tangerine. My stomach is growling.0 -

I don't see that as very realistic. *shrugs*
OP, maybe it will pass. Try distraction. Get up, go outside, take a walk. Write a letter, do a load of wash.
If all else fails, eat something that takes a while. Nuts in the shell are good. Don't laugh, but Gobstoppers take a long time to eat (if you let them melt) and 6 of them have 40 calories.

Fiber is filling, sugar and simple starches converted to sugar are not, so it actually does make some sense. I just don't quite know what "artificial food" is.0 -
I find I need protein AND whole carbs with a meal to not be too hungry. Brown rice does the trick well.
Nevertheless I'm also hungry a lot, and have to eat small frequent meals to keep my blood sugar balanced.0 -
PMS? I'm always hungry 10 days before my period... it lasts for a week (I usually go way over my TDEE that week) then stops on day 2 of my period. Totally sucks, but it's pretty normal.
I don't have many words of wisdom about it though because my normally filling meals don't work at all on those days, but yeah... try veggies, protein, fat. Avoid sweets on days when you're particularly hungry because they'll use up calories and not fill you up. But eat fruit. It seems to help me a bit.0 -

I'd be full for hours if that tangerine were a potato. May have to try it with a tangerine sometime to see how it affects me. Do you have the weight of the broccoli?0 -
Drink water. Sometimes our body cant tell from hunger or thirst. Drink a liter of water and decide if your still hungry. I used to get hungry but not anymore. It took a while to get used to eating 1450 calories a day.0

Yes, but that was in relation to 145 grams of carbs. So your macros for today so far are 55% carbs, 22 % fat, and 24% protein. (Does not equal 100% due to rounding.) Try eating more fat and protein and less carbs and see if you find that more filling.
Also, any day I'd start with Lucky Charms I'd be white-knuckling it through the rest of the day due to the sugar hit it would give me with that high carbs to that low protein and fat.0 -
I eat very high volume meals: vegetable noodle or vegetable rice, stuffed vegetables (tomato, eggplant, peppers, spaghetti squash, zucchini, etc), stir fry, soup, stew, chili all with puréed or finely chopped veggies. I also add vegetables 50/50 in anything with ground meat (nuggets, sausage patties, burgers, meatballs, meatloaf, casserole type things).
A super high volume day would be eggs and/or egg whites with an ish-load of vegetables, a chili or soup with a lot of added veggies, then a stuffed veggie dish (like http://www.slenderkitchen.com/recipe/cheesy-enchilada-turkey-stuffed-peppers).0 -
Ovulation AND a few days leading up to my period can suck my butt while dieting (aka trying to keep a respectful deficit). I can eat 800 calories and be ravenously hungry 15 minutes later. Distraction, exercise, iced tea, and pickles help lol.
I get angry just thinking about it - it is inevitable. it is actually how I know with 100% accuracy to the DAY that I am ovulating. Every time it happens, I go through the frustration only to remind myself to look at my calendar...and go 'duh'.0 -

Me too but looking at her diary for the last couple days it seems it's not a new thing, so I don't think the Lucky Charms are to blame there. If it's PMS... *shrug* I can eat 2000 calories of lean protein and veggies when I have PMS and still be hungry. It's a losing battle. Could explain why she hasn't lost too... water retention.
But anyway, I guess I could be wrong.0 -
I'm having one of those days today. Not pms, that's long gone. I did however sleep like crap last night. So now I'm a tired and hangry "B".0

I only stop eating because it's socially unacceptable to continue sometimes. Nonfat Greek yogurt helps keep me full0

Haha. Fair enough.
Also, it was my period. Figured it out. Now I'm not hungry at all. Perks of being a chick.0 -

I'm like that all the time. I don't do the whole "eat what you want in moderation thing". I have cutting/low calorie foods in my diet because I like to EAT A LOT. Volumetrics works for me. But yeah, there are days when I struggle still. Even in maintenance.0
