Need suggestions on exercises to help lose weight

I would like to lose a little over 100lbs. What are some good exercises to achieve my goals? All suggestions are appreciated!

All physical activity burns calories and the best physical activities (exercises) are the ones you'll stick with. It varies person by person--walking, running, swimming, dancing, basketball, calisthenics, lifting weights, etc. All are great. Pick one or two and try them for awhile and then decide if you want to switch up or keep with them.0

Calorie deficit=weight loss, exercise=fitness. Do the things you enjoy and are comfortable with, but remember that it's harder to lose if you don't know how much you're eating.0

Find something you enjoy, dancing around is fun and walking outside is good for your head. Basically start slow and be gentle at first. When I first began with a goal of 100+lbs I was overwhelmed but I committed to just 10 minutes on an elliptical a day. At my level of fitness it was all I could do. But each week I added 5 more minutes. That made it easier on me mentally, not to think I HAD to kill 60+ mins at a gym to make progress. I lost 30lbs with just the 10 minutes a day before adding any time.0

Or start to think about what you have/don't have to do certain things and choose the one that fits your daily schedule/ activity level. Gym or no gym. Outdoor or indoor. Flexible schedule or busy weekdays. Cook yourself or dine out often. All these could affect your willingness to stick to a certain form of exercise and get your nutrition intake under control.0

Good advice given so far. If you give us a bit of info about your schedule and lifestyle and current access to a gym or outside trails better suggestions could be given. Whatever exercise you choose to do it needs to fit into your current schedule.

I am a social worker...so I mainly sit at a desk a majority of the day. Our office hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday but I work a lot of evening and weekends due to events and trainings so on average I work 45-50+ hours a week.
I am a member at two gyms. One gym is very close to my house but has very weird hours - Only open till 9:00pm on weekdays and 5:00pm on weekends. So I joined a 24hour gym so on the days I work evenings, I can still go to the gym.
I have just started counting my calories on this site so I am hoping I am on the right track.

Find exercise that you can do with a friend. Having somebody I am accountable to makes me more likely to stick to an exercise regimen.0

Now it comes to few more questions... Have you tried the machines in either gym & do you like them? Does either one of them offer group classes? Do you prefer (or "do you think you can") working out before work or afterwards?
For me, I'm the type of person who's afraid of getting bored during exercising and I enjoy group classes more. I also got motivated by other people in class and use that to remind myself the reason I started. Super early morning isn't a problem for me, but I might end up not moving at all if I'm tired after work. Combining al of these, the best option for me was attending gym classes in the morning before work, but the 7 PM classes were fine as the second choice.
My point is, stick with the form of exercise if you know what you like, but definitely explore more if you're not sure yet. Another resource you might get from the gym is personal trainers. I'm not saying that they're the must to lose weight & get fit, and not all of them have the same quality. Just that it's an option and people will have this opportunity to have a customized workout routine designed by professionals to achieve their goals (of course that'll cost more).
Oh, another thing. No matter what you choose, make sure to find the correct way doing them (accurate forms and know what not to do during the workout) to prevent injuries. You don't want to get hurt & that won't help weight-loss at all...

I liked a half hour of stair master most days
It helped me burn off calories
Some days I wanted to eat a little more than the non-exercise amount given. So I added more cardio and carefully ate just 200-300 calories more
It all helped me stay on track and lose weight
Exercise burns off calories
So it is part of the calorie deficit thing
Find your own happy balance
As long as you have used more calories in the days than you took in, body fat will get used for those calories
You will lose weight0
