Trouble Finding workout clothes in my size

I feel like I've gone insane. I am having trouble finding workout clothing that fits without having to spend my monthly food budget.
I'm a US women's size 24.
Am I crazy or do I just not know where to look?

Do you have a ShopKo near you? I've found workout clothes in sizes up to 3w there; I think that would be about a 24 as the 3w I have is a little big on me and I'm a 20-22. There is usually something good on the clearance racks for 60-80% off original price. Nothing at Wal-Mart though? They usually seem to have a good range of sizes and of course are on the affordable end.0

Just do a google search for " plus size workout clothes" . There are a lot of stores that carry them, including Walmart.

It's hard to find, I know.
I bought from these guys once. But then I got smaller and it didn't fit any more.

I find sizing is inconsistent - I got some Under Armour pants at a not too bad price, waist fits fine, but they were 8" too long (and I'm 6') so I had to pay to have them altered. I just got some workout shorts, brand name at clearance store for $20, size XXXL and no way they fit- I would need size 5XL, and I wear a XL or XXL shirt.0

I loooove Old Navy's compression capris/pants. I won't wear anything else! They are always on sale and have a lot of sizing options, too. I'm a sz 16 and wear the XL. Lately I'm also really into Soybu. You can find their stuff on their site, at Kohl's, Sports Authority, even Amazon I think. They're a little bit pricier though.0

I was going to suggest Old Navy too.0

Walmart's Danskin line is decent and has many size optoins... and I second (third? fourth?) Old Navy.0

i love love love the workout capris at Maurices....I wear a size 12 and need to wear the mediums but instead bought them in large and extra large and am constantly having to yank them up in the belly and thighs....so an extra large would fit you I bet.0

I refuse to spend a ton of money on something that I may need to replace as I'm losing weight. Shop the local thrift stores. Amvets, Savers, Goodwill. Sometimes I fall into things other times I don't but it doesn't hurt to look.0

You might also try second hand stores like Value Village or Goodwill, or maybe even craig's list. It seems like larger workout clothes would quickly get to be the wrong size and donated. Awesome of you to get moving!0

Target goes up to 3X0

I'm not at all concerned about fashion, just being comfortable.
For tops, I bought packs of men's t-shirts in blue or multi-colored. 3X was plenty large enough for me at 285 pounds but I think that some styles go up to 4X.
For bottoms, I bought men's pajama bottoms with drawstrings. That way, I could tuck in the t-shirt and tie the waist so that my clothes wouldn't move too much as I moved. If the legs on the bottoms were too long, I just hacked them off and hemmed them by hand. If the bottoms had a button fly, I sewed it closed.0 -
Sometimes you can catch it on the clearance at lane bryant. I got lucky and found some that were like leggings so my clothes don't flop around when I'm attempting to jog

Old navy online. Delivered right to your house.0

I work out in cheap sweat shorts and a t-shirt.
Granted, since I moved my equipment out into the garage I have started to use long sleeve moisture wicking clothing that I normally use for skiing. I find it more comfortable than a t-shirt.0 -
I shop the clearance rack in the men's dept at Target. The men's prices are cheaper and the bottoms have pockets. WalMart men's clothes are cheaper than the women's too. Did I mention POCKETS?1

I want shorts and leggings that come up to my waist, not riding on my hips. Any suggestions?0

Goodwill. They usually have an Active Wear rack. I get almost all my workout clothes there. Selection varies by store and by day so check back frequently. Larger sizes are harder to come by at goodwill but they often have a few and the price is great!1
